It has not been a bad last few years for the Marvel franchise with so many big blockbusters it is ridiculous. Even this year in 2018 they have not slowed down breaking the bank, yet again, with Black Panther breaking box office records. They are in the works for a sequel to that and speaking of sequels there are ones for Spider Man and Guardians of the Galaxy as well as three highly anticipated releases, which are all coming out in 2018.

Avengers: Infinity War opens on April 27th, Deadpool 2 opens May 18th, Ant Man and Wasp opens July 6th, and Marvel caps off the year with a non0-sequel with Aquaman opening December 21st. As you can see Marvel is set for the rest of 2018, as they look to continue their super-hero domination of the box office. Marvel is loaded with movies not only coming out this summer, but in the next couple of years. They are steamrolling at the box office and that does not look to slow down in the near future.

Avengers: Infinity War

Out of all of the Marvel movies coming out this year the one for Avengers: Infinity War has to be the most anticipated. The 3rd installment of the saga has all the Avengers we are used to seeing as well as many others including the players from the Guardians of the Galaxy and Black Panther. Just one look at the trailer and it can be a little hard to follow with all the different characters. Still, Iron Man, the Hunk, Thor, and Captain America are still the mainstays of the franchise, so look for another HUGE opening in the end of April.

Deadpool 2

Deadpool 2 returns with the foul mouthed super hero played by Ryan Reynolds carrying the role that led the first one to be the highest grossing R-rated movie of all time. New bad guy Cable played by Josh Brolin looks to be a perfect fit, but the reviews have not been good early on. Still, it is a while before Reynolds and company suit up and there is more than a ton of hype with the 2nd installment of which will likely not be the last one.

Ant Man

Who would have thought Paul Rudd could play a super hero? Well, he did so in the first Ant Man and Ant Man and the Wasp coming out in July has upped the ante. In an interesting fact Ant Man and the Wasp is the first Marvel movie with the heroine in the title. The 2nd installment has no lack of star power with Michael Douglas returning and Michelle Pfeiffer, Laurence Fishburne, and Judy Greer all on board.

Aquaman

Last, but not least is Aquaman, who has his own stand-alone film after he was first brought to us with the release of the Justice League. This water based action thriller will sure to be a ride and, no big shock, there is a ton of star power in this flick as well with the likes of Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, Nicole Kidman, Willem Dafoe and even Dolph Lundgren.
